Benefit Thrrrob

Ah Benefit, I love the boxed powders but I loathe the price. So of course when my lovely friend Christina gave me a gift voucher for Christmas I jumped at the chance to add Thrrob to my slowly growing collection of Boxed Powders guilt free. Thrrrob is a dusty pale pink which is mostly matte as the very subtle silver shimmer evident in the pan doesn’t seem to transfer to the skin.

The box is cute with a lace up design on the front. I don’t need to rant again about how impractical the cardboard packaging is. When I got it home my first thought was how similar I thought it might be to NYX Angel but upon closer inspection Thrrrob is actually paler!

Now we all know I normally fit foundation shades such as ‘corpse’ or ‘A4 paper’ so if I have to pack on a colour to get it to show up then this should set alarm bells ringing. This is definitely not going to be a winner for darker skin tones. I have to build this up a lot to get the “turned on flush” promised by the box. Once it’ on though it does look very pretty. The slightly dusty quality stops it being a dolly pink. It is subtle but I like it. I think it might work even better if it is paired with a similar toned cream blush but sadly I don’t own one to try it.

The Benefit Boxed Powders are £23.50. Hervana is next on my list to acquire! x

  1. It looks lovely, Claire. Do a FOTD?
Blushes are always worth the investment. They go a long time and complete the look.
Which one of the Benefit blushes do you recommend for Warm toned, Olive skin (Mac NC40)?

    Adore you blog.
    Love!
